Hi, I’m Alex, the human behind Westside Woofs and the guy trying to keep up with Zero in real life.
By day I’m a creative director and executive producer who’s spent years making commercials, short films, and character-driven stories for other people’s worlds. Westside Woofs is the first time I’ve taken everything I love about storytelling, visual design, and games and poured it into my own universe—a cartoon Westside where a half-masked blue heeler treats every walk like an epic mission.
Zero is based on my actual heeler, who patrols Santa Monica, side-eyes scooters, and makes friends (and drama) at every dog park he visits. My job is to turn that daily chaos into something playable and shareable: building the world, shaping the tone, working with artists and developers, and making sure every level, GIF, and post feels like it could only come from Westside Woofs.
If you ever see a dog sprinting down the beach like he has main character energy and a guy behind him taking notes… that’s probably us.
